Canned Goods


For most of us moms, canned goods are the easiest to cook every morning. They’re convenient and, well, they’re convenient. Though some may argue that they’re not healthy and that they have chunks of preservatives in them, they’re actually our go-to food when we’re in a rush. Here are some recipes whose main star is the ever dependable canned good.

MEXICAN STYLE PORK and BEANS

Ingredients:

1 can Pork and Beans
1 tbsp onions
1 tbsp garlic
2 tbsps green bell bepper
salt and pepper

1. Saute your onions, garlic, and bell peppers.
2. Add in your pork and beans.
3. Season with a little salt and lots of pepper.
4. Simmer for 2 minutes. Enjoy!

SPANISH STYLE TUNA

Ingredients:

1 can Tuna in oil
2 pcs. bay leaf
1 tbsp onions
1 tbsp garlic
whole peppercorns
salt

1. Saute your onions and garlic.
2. Add in your canned tuna and bay leafs.
3. Add you peppercorns. You may also use ground pepper if you like.
4. Season with just a little bit of salt.
5. Enjoy!

CORNED BEEF WITH VEGETABLES

Ingredients:

1 can corned beef
1/2 cup potatoes sliced into small cubes
1/2 cup shredded cabbage
1 tbsp onions
1 tbsp garlic
salt and pepper to taste

1. Saute the onions and garlic.
2. Add in the potatoes.
3. Once the potatoes have turned golden brown, add in your corned beef.
4. Season with a little salt and pepper.
5. Add your cabbage and mix well.
6. Simmer for 1-2 minutes and serve. Enjoy!

SAUSAGE AND BEAN STEW

Ingredients:

1 can Pork and Beans
1 can Vienna sausage
1 tbsp onions
1 tbsp garlic
2 tbsps green bell bepper
salt and pepper

1. Follow the recipe for mexican style pork and beans but add in one can of sliced Vienna sausage. Enjoy!
